just grab you welder and weld in the required brackets, or drill and bolt fastening points in. as long as you get a modification cert for rego your on
your way. P.S. not all seats are small enough to give you room between the seat and the steering wheel. better off getting one from the wreckers first
and trying it out.
Drink and drive your a bloody idiot!!! make it home you'r a legend !!!!

I just put some EB falcon seats in mine, they had flat sliders and only needed some mounting bolts welded on to fit, heaps better, longer squabs and
you sit higher, also you can still move them backwards and forwards on the original runners. I got them for twenty bucks at the tip!

Hi Robo, you mention the EB falcon seats can move in the original (VW?) runners. Why do they need mounting bolts? It sounds like you mean they slip
straight into the seat runers on the kombi body.
thanks,

ive got RX3 buckets in mine. very comfy, small enough. as for mounting, on the drivers side i am bolting on the lower part of a kombi seat and will
upolster over it when i redo the upolstery so there is full movement and a stock look. on the passenger side i am using a set of Ford Laser rails as
they seem to be the same as the RX3 rails and are completely removable. one side bolts to the seat, one to the wheel arch and an equal height bracket
and bingo u have a seat that has full movement and the runners are similar enough to the kombi drivers side ones to look stock.

Hi Kombi69
The runners on the ford seats don't fit the VW tracks, the ford seat runners are flat, but the mounting brackets are not, I had to cut these
off with a grinder. I bought some high tensile bolts and welded these to the ford runners, the ford seat runners sit nice and flat on the floor where
the OEM seat was.
I just drilled new holes for the bolts through the floor and used 2.5 inch washers between the nuts and the floor underside, you have to do this to
stop the bolts pulling through in the event of an accident, the washers give the mounting bolts a larger surface area to have to pull through, this is
as strong as the spot welded VW tracks, these seats are not as fancy as the Jap import ones, but I got two in very good condition for $10.00 from the
tip, and they are a quantum leap in comfort from the VW planks.

I run an aerotech drivers seat and a honda prelude passenger seat. Just welded flat onto the bases and made sure put a bit of bracing in. Just make
sure u use the correct grade bolts, washers etc when fitting. |

We have SAAS seats mounted directly to the floor, no slide. They are really comfortable, and as we are both tall, we have no probs.
My mechanic who is just over 5 foot tall gets a bit shitty though.
