Heater system

Hi Guys

Under the bonnet I have the three way connector coming up from the heater channels.

Can someone tell me where these 6 connections go to, also, what sort of pipe / tubing is it supposed to be.

In this pic I know 1, 2 and 3 glue onto the dash and the dash vents slip into them. I presume 1 and 3 connect to the centre box (#4) by hoses.
Does 1, 2 and 3 also connect to those 3 ways from the heater channel, if so then that leaves 2 connectors left on the three ways, am I missing something.

Thanks

geez, this is taking me heaps far back lol.

Yes the 3 way connects, if the 2 x connections at 2, 1 x connection at 3 and 1 x connection at 1 connect to 4 of the 6 points on the 2 three ways,

That leaves to channels left right?

Well, those 2 connect to the metal outlet from the heater channel at the bottom of the A pillar, which i know for sure.

so, 4 at top, 2 from a pillar bottom, theres your 6 :)

I'm going back on very far distant memory here though

ummm

No lol

Theat 3 way is already connected to the heater channel. The three way is the three spare outlets when its connected, so there is really 4 outlets on each side lol

ok 1,2,3 clip in to the vents and are not glued in position.
1 and 3 are connected to the centre piece 4 and but also to 2 by the little pipes at the bottom of 1 and 3.
this sounds right i cant check and manuals as they have been packed away and its too dark to check my bug.
ill have a look at my pics and see if i can find one.

Hi
Ok I got this pic, thats shows it easy as, but can anyone identify what that is where I drew the arrow. That accounts ofr the extra hose but I have no idea what it is. Also, anyone know where i could get that hose from.

Thanks

Brings back a memory...
I need to connect all My heater hoses up soon...
I have two sets of everything.. plus more..

the hoses are VW hoses...
they were cardboard in the early ones and later ones had black plastic hoses I believe..

the small short joining pieces... are another odd size....
about 75mm long... duct tape or cardboard wrapped around the two pieces and then wrapped over with duct tape...

nothing is glued... or wasn't originally...
