late type 3 steering column into early

Anyone know if this is just a direct bolt in replacement or not?

Keen for the safety upgrade of a collapsible column as well as a steering lock and accessories key position.

If by LATE you are talking about the one that is flat on the upper side of the plastic shroud,
and early being curved / round in the same place, then i believe it can be as that is how mine is in my 65 T34 ghia.

Thanks guys. Daimo it would be handy to know what's involved with it.

Yeah still fiddling about with the blue notch! Engine rebuild #4. Trying to get it up to a roadworthy state. Still lots to do!

Gday all Just a suggestion I have fitted a TF gemini colunm into my 72 baja theres a bit of fiddiling with the wiring but all I did was weld beetle bracket onto it. It fits straight up to rubber is the correct length this set up gives you washer wiper headlamp hi/lo beam from memory the TG colunm is different just a late model alternative for little work

Interesting Ernie...I hadn't thought of a different brand. In this case I think I will stay with what I have until a good late type 3 column comes up.
