get a screwdriver n push down on the tab on the inside slider near tunnel
the tab stops the seat from going forward to remove it

I've found the best thing is to sit in the seat while you push the tab down, then slide the seat just over the tab, then get out of the seat and
remove it. This is if you don't have a second pair of hands.

So you need to go in from the front, down the side of the tunnel? or down the inside of the rail itself?

It's just between the tunnel and the seat, on the top of the rail at the front. Can't miss it.
