Rims

It is time to replace the front wheels, however, I currently only have typical narrow VW 15 inch rims on front.
Does anyone know where I can get a decent set of rims or existing rims moded for the front. Probably looking for 6 or 7 inch wide by 15 inch diameter. If I could get something to match my rears I would be really happy.

If its the baja in your avatar,
for my money you can't go past the 14x6/7 rims that are so easy to come across with 27x8.5 tyres which go for around 130-150 bucks. They have really nice footprint in the sand but are not big enough to scrub your front end.
15 inch fronts are just a pain to come across (depends on what you want to spend that is) Either that or you can actually get 205/75 bf goodritch that will go onto your stock rims with good results, but the offset may be a bit questionable, as are the cost of these tyres at a bit over 300 a pop:crazy:
Just food for thought, good luck

i agree, unless you have a lift kit under there i'd stick with 14x6. get some 27x8.5 nankang supertrippers or try second hand tyres... I put a 2 yokohama geolanders on the front of mine heaps of tread for 70 bucks a tyre, and they are 15's. There doesn't seem to be alot of tyre shops that deal with 14" off road tyres though. i think 7" wide would be too wide for the front though, only after looking at them and thinking gee i'm glad i didn't try to put them on the front of my car!

good luck, I know what a pain it can be trying to find the right rims to suit the front of your baja!
Mick.
