!!! Be in it to win it !!!
I then offered the class extra credit if they located a new Beetle and actually tested their hypotheses. After cramming and scrunching, one group
actually squeezed in 21 people, which was only three fewer than the world record.

Christine Gorman, in "Community"
My guess is that it has to do with how fragmented life has become. As a New Yorker, I am naturally suspicious of cars and find it quite ironic
that the post-World War II push to connect isolated communities through a modern, updated highway system inadvertently led to greater isolation and
splintered many of the bonds that tie people together. Just look at the numbers. Twenty-three people in a Volkswagen is absurd. A college prank.
Twenty-three people at a quilting bee forms the basis of community. Cars may be the most democratic invention ever created, but their tendency to
isolate and atomize often works against us.

Jason Kelley in College life promises ironclad friendships, instant burritos....how to blame the horrible mess your dorm room is
in on your roommate when your parents unexpectedly drop by and, of course, how to fit 20 people in a Volkswagen beetle.
Anyhow - you get the idea!
Ok - I would like to offer a forum challenge.
*Patch sound effect of Gauntlet hitting ground here*
Question: How many people can you fit into a Type I, Type II or Type III?
Answer:____________
Yeah - I know it's been done before - but we haven't done it!
The prizes are three stickers paid for by myself and to be supplied in the next order in September. Hey it's a start - someone else might pitch
in a prize as well. I anything it will be worth the interesting reading.
!!!Pack em - Stack em - Push em in!!!
??? How many adults can you fit into your model ???
The Rules
(1) There are three classes - Each class will win a sticker. These classes are:
a. Type III - Including all shapes, cabrolets with roofs up.
b. Type II - regular van shape only and campers with roofs down - no meat trucks, hightops, etc.
c. Type I - All models and cabrolets with roofs up.
(2) All participats must be over the age of 16 and willing. (So you don't run down to the local kindy )
(3) The participants must enter the vehicle male female, male female and so on to achived an equal mix of sexes- and to make it fun.
(4) Photographic proof must be posted in this post accompanied by a lengthy text explaining how this was achieved and who, where etc. A seperate photo
should be included showing all the people that fit in the vehicle standing with the vehicle. Make sure you include quotes.
(5) No appendage of any participant should be extended outside a window, door, sunroof or any other opening. All doors must be able to close with all
seats installed. Windows may be left down.
(6) All care should be taken to not damage the vehicle or injure the participants involved. The vehicle should not be driven whilst loaded. This
Forum, myself and any other entity is not responsible for injury, damage or shame resulting.
(7) This is all in good fun - if you'd like collect money for a charity then do so. Host a party, make a day of it. Do it at work or Valla
even.
(8) The winner of each class will have achieved the most bodies into the vehicle for a 1 minute period with all participants counting down from 60.
(9) This thread will be judged by the moderators of this Forum with myself on the Friday evening of the 15th of August, a month from today. Moderators
participating cannot judge.
(10) The prize will be a special holographic (or normal) sticker of a chosen size sent to the winner, to be displayed on the winning vehicle. A
sticker awarded to each type holding the most participants with an equal mix of participants.
Good luck and happy Craming. Make sure you post where and when you will be attempting your feat!

I'm keen to have a go at this while at Valla, but I have a question....
My kombi is a 'transporter' and originally came without rear seats fitted. I do have seats, but wasn't planning on taking them all to
Valla. Am I still eligible to enter without my rear seats fitted?

Anyway you like Colin if you want to have a go. I was more worried about type 1 drivers removing their seats and filling the cab - a definate
advantage. In a type II not so much of a concern - if your not having your seats then it open for other type II drivers to not have theirs. EDIT: Rear
seats that is- keep it fair as you can. Campers are at a definate disadvantage.
Golfs and New Beetles - I wasn't sure if NB owners wuold be to keen to load their 40k rides full of high heels and sloshing crownies, same with
the gols two I guess. I am willing to put in $30 at this stage, mabey more if their were more entries of other models. I excluded the newer models
more for my expence than anything else.
If you want to participate and there is more than just your entry in that class then I'm happy to fork out more stickers within reason. For
example - Vanderjay packed 15 into his and Anthony sent in a pic later with 16, then that would open a new category. Spook then borrowed a NB from a
caryard and filled it with 23 belemic dances he would win unless Andrew found skinnier occupants. Same with Bora, Golf, Passat models. Lets limit the
categories to 6 stickers in total = $60 out of my pocket for some sardine fun.
