broken down
Well to day i spent 5 hours on the side of the road with the left carby swamped with fuel. it just started first a mit of a miss than only 2 cylenders
than stop to look ,nearly hadc a stroke there was fuel going every where,so turn of and run like the wind well stand and scratch my head,that didn't
fix it next scratch the other side of head nope nopthing,so out with tools and remove carby again scratch head where to start check make sure i have
matches check running shoes check flat fone check,so when i had it off i really don't kn ow where to start check matches are dry check
all i can say is thank you all who stopped to help dam it made it nearly worthwhile,it finally sorted out do  n't know how as i had changed everything at least 5 time, as i had 3 extra carbys and my wife ran them
to me all is well now

Sounds like your needle & seat was stuck wide open, sometimes a swift sharp tap ontop of the fuel bowl with the plastic handle from a screw
driver of the offending carb usually re-seats the sticking needle and stops the flooding, If carb still flooding, well maybe a sunk float, but I
have only struck this twice in 35 years of being a grease monkey, now if a needle sticks once, you can bet your lollies it will happen again, so
best that carb gets dismantled and new needle & seat installed and check that the float geometry works smooth and nothing looks like binding.
Get someone to measure float drop & height. hope this is of some help cheers Frank
