New to bugs.
Hi everyone.
I have just purchased a couple of beetles that need a bit of resto work and would like to know a couple of things.
The beetles are a 1961 and the other i think is a 58. The earlier one has semaphores but no small oval window rear so thats why i think it is a 58,
could be wrong though!
One thing on my mind is that i do want to lower it and understand that the beams can be lowered?
Also whats the reason for narrowing the beam?
I know these are newbie questions but i think i qualify haha.

G'day Andrew
Big window semaphores could be 58-59
Beams can be lowered
Cutting is involved and rewelding. Usually with adjusters
Narrow beams are usually for
* looks
* go lower
* lowered and wider tyres

Thanks Bizarre.
I want them to handle well.
Whats the best front end for bugs and rear end. I understand there are quite a few different ways to go with this.
