Can you use a hydraulic cam with solids?

Hi

I'm collecting bits for an Oxyboxer for my daily/son David's car.

Its going to be 88 x 94 with a Chevy Journal DPR crank etc

I have a Berg K8 ground for hydraulic lifters that I was going to put in my WBX years ago, Ive read that you can run solids on a hydraulic cam but not visa versa, is this true or should I just buy another cam?

Steve,
I have used a stock 2.1 hydro cam with solids in a 1600 engine, worked fine no rattle and made good power compared to a stock 1600 cam.
