lowering swingaxel advise?
hi all!
im wondering if anyone can tell me how much i should lower the back of my 64 beetle.im trying to set it up for classic car circuit racing, and want to
avoide the rear jacking up,but not go too far,and have suitable camber too.at the moment it is lowered about 40mm from standard,by going +7 inner, and
-7 outer splines.im thinking of going up another 10mm or so,as the camber still looks a bit mad,but dont want to get it wrong again!i drive it on
bumpy roads too,so could do with more clearance for deep sump.i want to buy new shocks soon,so want an idea of what height is suitable.thanks

7 inner and 7 outer seems to be quite a bit! I've just had mine put down 3 inner and 3 outer and now have 2.5 degrees neg.
The best thing you could do now is to add a camber compensator on the rear end and take some load off the torsion bars, maybe also a good set of
shocks likes Konis of Bilsteins.
