Looks like a job for "Lumiweld". Works great on thin aluminium. Ask around engineering supplies or go to any of the camping shows. Usually a
guy at those demonstrating it's use and has supplies.

Hmmm. I do a lot of aluminium welding of corroded aluminium panels at work, and the first thing is that corroded aluminium doesn't weld. You have to
cut back to clean parent metal, and in that situation, there may not be any. You just have to imagine that the corrosion eats from the inside out.
Anywhere there is a hole is 100% corroded. There will be many other spots already 99% corroded from the inside, just about to break through. They will
be near the holes you see now, and they cannot be welded.

I agree with helbus - that is beyond welding. If you can't obtain another (good) one, you could look around for a bit of aluminium tube that dia. and
cut it to length. Machine the base and top to fit tube, clean all three bits thoroughly, and get someone good to weld them together. This would be
expensive - can you an alternative container?
