The threads are 24 X 1.5, both right-hand. The hex. is 36mm.
I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!

And what about the Bugs nuts? Haven't seen you around the streets
for a while... hibernating like me no doubt. Better call round for a gasbag again soon.

Depending on what the cyls are I have new rubbers you can use for a rebuild here as well as a couple of full cyl assys. We could sleeve your old ones
as well if you like!

He might just need it Pete! Did you get yours back together yet? I forgot to ask whether you had replacements at the time as I've got new rubbers
etc here for Type 3 cyls.
Catch up soon.

I'd already bought another one. Had to put new shoes in as well. The ones there had soaked up the brake fluid and it was an awful mess. The inside of
the slave cyl was interesting too. LOTS of crap. Sort of crap that doesn't come through a brake line. Casting shavings and all sorts. Hope this one
is better.
I bled it up last night. Gonna take it for a spin in a mo when the missus gets back from the shops. Hope all is good.

I haven't done the master cyl but have done the slaves with stainless on the Notch front. What size are the slaves on the Bug? Are they the
same as Type 3 @ 22.2 dia? There's 2 brand new ones here to get you out of trouble quickly if you want them. Maybe the master only needs a kit in
it. Give me a call or drop in when you get home. Home after 6pm Thursdays as I actually have to work..... only a 6 day weekend at the moment!

The Bug has 11/16" slaves on the back Pete so it'll be a re sleeve job. Master cyl looks like a hone and kit will do.
