[FS - NSW] 72 Lowlight
Hi everyone,
Unfortunately, i have decided to let go of Sandy.... It's a tough decision, but she needs to go to someone who can help her move on to perfection.
She is a72 Lowlight Camper (she is registered as a 73, but my mechanic has assured me she is actually a 72) with a 2
Litre engine that has had a lot of work done on it in the past 10 months or so.... Some of this work includes (some of this i am just copying
off reciepts, so it may be confusing):
•Fuel leaks fixed at carbys and tank outlet
New fuel line
New earth strap
Starter motor replaced
Left side Inner tie rod end replaced
Right side outer tie rod end replaced
wheel bearing adjusted
New alternator
New widscreen wiper unit
Drivers door handle/lock unit replaced
Sliding door handle replaced
Sliding door fixed
Brakes repaired
New Windscreen
New left hand side front pillar
I'm sure there is more than this, these are just the things i can remember and the reciepts i have with me.
The previous owner has also spent over 5 1/2 grand on redoing the engine and other running parts. I have the receipt for this, but it's 3 pages long
so i won't type it all out!
The reason i am selling her is the rust.... I have spoken to my mechanic and even though i've spent alot on the motor, running gear and started with
some rust repairs, he has said it'll cost alot to get the rust fixed proffessianally. I've been told that if anyone has MIG welding skills it
wouldn't be too tough of a job, but unfortunately i'm no handyman.
She is a reliable car now i've fixed alot of the running gear, but i just don't have the cash to get her rust fixed proffessionally. She has been
serviced regularily and the majority of the work done on her has been at Dunham VW and Wayne Penrose VW.
She has a 3/4 Rock and Roll bed with new foam, new hand made/dyed coverings, and only a small tear in the pop top's original canvas which can easily
be fixed (if i find time i'll fix it before the sale).
She is registered in NSW until 27 July 2011, so there is heaps of time to drive her whilst fixing rust one bit at a time.
If there are any questions, please don't hesitate to PM me, post here, email me on anthony.sweeney@live.com.au, or call me on
0415 041 697.
I am asking for $5000 ono. (let's hope these photos work!)
I'm in Gerroa, NSW, but may be able to travel if someone is interested.
small tear in pop top
Side pillar repair
Thanks Guys!
