Wanted 75L bonnet

I am after a square cut bonnet for an L bug

not this sort

this sort

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d170/blue74l/Nationals%202008/04.jpg

It is a subtle difference but you can see it where the handle is
The square one has a more "follow the bumper" line and a bump/protusion at the bottom of the handle

I would like a straight one that requires no work - as i already have a slightly damaged one

Dont want holes welded up either

give me a pm and tell me what you have

Thanks

Hi Barry

They are hard to find, I wish Richard would get his finger out and make some Tupperware ones.

I just reckon they look better - purely a personal taste
I prefer the way it follows the bumper rather than the 2 swept inserts

Pretty sure they only came out on vary late 74 and 75's

I am doing a bit of a tidy up and if I am goint to spray the bonnent I may as do the one I want and keep this one as a spare

Reckon you will finish your WRX-L first

Haha yeah it's Funny cause i never noticed that much untill now all i rember was that our 73L had the square cut bonnet cause i always used to think the bonnet handle shoulda been lower but then our 74L did'nt have the squarecut style bonnet. Personally i like the non square cut style but i love all things from a 75L = ]

Hi

The reason that you sometimes see the later bonnet on earlier cars is because that was all that VW sold as a spare part to the panels shops after a while.
