Empi Cv's.. horrble?
What are empi cv's like? I know they are cheap and that Lobro and better. But how bad are they? A well known vw shop recommended them.. thinking
spending the extra may be worth it. I would be interested to hear others peoples opinions on this..

I'm interested on this one.
Some of the guy's in the States have poo pood them for heavy off road use.
The price is so good I've recently bought a set of 930's to test out thoroughly......we'll see.
The finish is better than Lobro IMO, but yet to see if the are strong and wear resistant.

what do you mean 'better' than lobro? I've had a set of lobro bus CVs on mine for a few years of regular use behind a subaru and engine and
they've been the most reliable part of the trans.
re the shop, are they willing to give you some sort of guarantee for 6 months or something?

CIP are right, those are type 2 CV's, you'll need to change or modify the drive flanges on the tranny and axles to bus.
