71 super beetle trouble starting ???


hey wondering if anyone knows what is going on the last couple of times ive gone to start the bug it turns over but wont go it took 5 goes yesterday and the same 2 days before but all times in between its starts fine????

start by checking the fuel, then spark, points, coil, oil level, etc

Hi

Make sure the reds are staying on when cranking, if they go out you have a dead spot in the switch.

had some issues with the points in my bettle.

grab a feeler gauge and check they are open enough...

fixed my problem first try.. quickest thing to check first up i reckon...
