Name somethng that a VW hasn't done

I thought that drifting (competively) was something that no-one would do in a bug/VW.

But I was wrong

http://www.google.com.au/imgres?imgurl=http://blogs.news.com.au/images/upload...

that might not work but we'll see.

Can anyone think of something that a VW hasn't done?

Well, what have VWs done?

Circuit racing
Drag racing
Salt flat speed tests
Desert/forest/tarmac rally
Khanacross/Rallycross/Autocross
Antarctic expeditions
African safaris
Off-roading
Sand dune driving
and apparently drifting...

I'm not sure that there's been an aircooled-powered VW in Summernats-style burnout competitions?

built a boxer engine with decent heads and a counterweighted crank. Sorry. :fakesniff: Wish they had.

Had a factory aircooled racing program. Never happened sadly. Imagine what we'd have if Heinz hadn't been so short sighted.

All the good motorsport stuff done in aircooled cars was done by dealerships or privateers.

It is funny though an maybe un heard of, but imagine if the other manufacturers of the day had the same opinion of motorsport as VW?

I don't think many other brands would of done nearly as well performance wise... correct me if i'm wrong.

Counterweight crank - agreed

Decent heads, well I'd say the dual port heads are a pretty good deal to start with, no comp eliminators thats for sure but can be "breathed" on to get some good flow...

Burnout competitions.... surely there is one of the drag racing boys who'd take up the challenge, WPVW?

If we're talking conversions then there's also VW-powered motorcycles, trikes, generators and air compressors.
