Hard work VW day
Today me and Fleur had a very productive day on the VW's
We prowled a couple of wrechers for some bits and came across a perfect bonnet for her beetle for $60.
Hers is full of cracks, bog and bubbling paint, so we got it.
When we got home we fitted it, adjusted, lock, catch and greased lightly.
The door hinges got oiled, we got a day/night mirror and put that in, a L?H running board mould and fitted.
The demister tubes got refitted, the blown L/H headlight globe replaced and the self cancelling indicator mechanism replaced.
The bus copped it's replacement indicator base and new pair of indicctor lenses, and worn out floppy wiper arms replaced.
I will get this now :kiss

Well done Pete. It's always good to have those days of achievement. I stuffed around with the kombi again today, it's going, but I'm
not happy with it yet. Hopefully I'll have it going sweet before Nambucca though. :thumb

It's great when you fix one of those niggly problems. My drivers side window wouldn't go up or down unless you heaved on the glass
eventually broke the winder. Last weekend pulled the whole window mechanism out cleaned, oiled and refitted it also replaced the glass the old one had
bubbles i think from welding spatter. Window winds up and down fantastic now. I must say though that they don,t come out quite like the book
