You want to narrow down your location a bit, might be able to help you out.

I am in the Townsville area. I am fairly sure there is nothing here, one of the beetles I am looking at has been back and forth from Cairns for repairs.

Tropical air Townsville is a group of VW owners who like to get together and enjoy their cars, share experiences and help each other. Do you wish to do the same? Then come along.
The next meet is Sunday the 17th October. Meet at the So-roptomist Park, Rowes Bay at 09:30. Leave at 10:00ish for a drive along the Strand, through Oonoonba and finish at the Riverview Tavern, Riverside gardens for a drink. (Food is available as well).
Contact Jon 0417209393 or ppe73.beetle@hotmail.com

Oh wow, I didn't even know there was anything like that here, it looks similar to the Jag club my dad is a part of, I think I will contact them and see if they can give me some suggestions.

Thank-you very much,
Courtenay.

Thanks everyone.
Yeah I know there are heaps of VWs in Townsville, I see heaps around everyday, I am just at a loss as to where to go for prices for parts, or where to go for parts in general, I know it varies depending on what needs to be done, but I am trying to make my decision based on how much in total I will need to spend to bring either of the two VW's I am looking at to a roadworthy condition.
