It's going real good. I just ordered a bunch of stuff headlining, lights bits and pieces. The deal was made sweeter when my bro-inlaw got rostered on
for a syd to lax flight. He is just taking an empty suitcase. I can't
order stuff fast enough.

Put an order for vw thing balljoints (set), front barwork, rear barwork, side barwork, front beam support tubes, all terrain tyres and sum nut and
bolts
cost of all barwork and tubes including shipping to my door from the states was $660 USD... (CIP1)
A/T tyres were $238 for two shipped to my door
vw thing ball joints, $125 shipped
Buying from the overseas retailer via credit card instead of paypal is so much better... pay pal make money out of the aud to usd exchange rate by
reducing the AUD value to approx 97 c (when it was on par) and pocking the rest for each dollar.

Picked up a full set of 356 B drum brakes for No 8 Beetle. Should be here next week.
I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!

yea mate, well the irony is everything on my list posted up i scored from the US, except the tyres....
i missed out on 2 brand new Mickey Thomson MTZ's on ebay that ended at $261.00 (31x10.5)... i was bashing my head against a wall for an hr
straight... and went for the el'cheapo method thats suppose to be good.
On ebay, there is a discount tyre mob from brissy that ship to anywhere. 31x10.5 R15's all terrain (although printed with LT) SOVRAN brand, with an
all terrain tread pattern wildly known as the 'Dueler' all terrain tread pattern.
Listed for a by it now price of $109 ($100 if u have ABN), can call them for shipping quote anywhere between like 7am to 9pm, 7 days a week... there
were really helpful.
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170557194259&ss...
El' cheapo, but internationally compliant, and they give them a really good rap...
its no Mickey Thompson MTZ baja tyre though ... but it should be quieter on
the highway... The big weakness with the dueler treat pattern is sidewall protection (Google was my friend there)... and they are an average
performance tyre.
M/T's if u want the bullet proof stuff.... but its no low performance... It'll do for a bit of everything , and saved quite a few pennies...
