FS Qld , OZ Towdsters Home Gararge Cleanout Sale
Ok
Have been having a look through all my personal gathered parts over the years and have sorted out what i need to keep for my rides and what mabey of
some use to someone else .
Please note that these items are ALL my personal stock so do not ring CVD as they will not be able to help you
Item 1
Late Kombi trip speedo , has one light scratch on the face near the lower trip area , and does not have a rest pin for the needle but all works fine
including the odometre and trip
SOLD & GONE
Item 2
Set of 4 early beetle beauty rims to suit stock 15 X 4 wide 5 rims , these are not perfect by any means but would clean up ok with a polish

Item 3
Manx or any buggy stainless steel stereo mounting box
This was made by myself many moons ago and is in a brushed stainless finish and is fully tig welded and a nice neat way of mounting the stereo in a
buggy

Item 4
Chrome fan belt cover to suit a type 1 engine in a buggy or baja etc , has brackets etc

Item 5
6 volt headlight globes , i have two sets of these , and in a recent search for these for CVD it was found they are all but impossible to find new
ones

Set of Suparax heavy duty roof racks to suit a kombi

Item 7
Late bay front bumper
This is a nice straight bar which has been sandblasted a while back and some light surface rust but is not pitted and has been stored in a dry area

Pair of IRS beetle Monroe rear shockies , i believe these where only ever fitted to a car for mock up but never driven on

Item 9
Pair of baja bay kombi rear fibreglass flares , these have been previosly fitted to a bus so are drilled

4off Firestone Cavallino 165R15 Tyres , these have approx 75% tread and are all in good condition

2lt Type 4 crank , this has had all jornals machined and i have bearings to suit

2lt 228 mm type 4 flywheel , again this has been machined and is ready for a install

Type 4 crank case , this has been line bored to 60 thou for memory and has been modified to suit a upright conversion ie i dont believe you could
easily fit pancake tinware plus the chimney has had the clip holes drilled out also to suit a sharpbuilt upright kit

3 off early beetle wiper switches , these are both in full working condition with the rubber bladders both excellent as well so will pump as they
should

Hi Andrew,
Interested in building an upright conversion. The crank has the bearings to match the type IV case? Do you know approx how much a sharpbuilt type 1
conversion costs. Doesn't look like a lot but just wondering. I'll PM you my details as I'm in Canberra and need to get it shipped.

Cool Andrew, I need to head up to Wavell Heights this week if either Eileen or yourself is heading to CVD at all, may be easier to take them there.
Otherwise a meetup will be fine, only past the freaking motorway roadworks if you have a trailer....It's like a maze atm which seems to change
weekly! I'll give you a buzz later in the week if CVD a no go. Thanks. |
