I'M NOT SURE WHETHER THEY ARE THE SAME...
I know the later beetles have much smaller shafts than the early ones...
so, what He really wants, is a sports steering wheel complete with the BOSS to fit the VW shaft....
I have a nice wooden steering wheel for sale also...
the Boss probably will not fit as it fits 1968-71+

They're not.
74 was the first year of the taper spline steering shafts

Usually about 60 bucks from most larger auto shops. You can get cheaper ones off eBay but not sure of the quality unless they state a brand.
