Tubbing is serious business and involves cutting out your inner wheel arches and making larger ones, hence cutting further into the body and sometimes
cutting the chassis and moving suspension components and so forth. You don't really want to get into that unless you really have to.
What size wheels and tyres are you running? And what offset? Where are they actually rubbing, inner or outer guard? There are much more subtle ways of
clearancing, such as rolling the guard lips and so forth.

the wheels are pretty standard which surprised me the 15 by 5and a half with 165's on them not sure wher the rubbing happens but its only at very
full lock wich unfortunetly i need to do to get into wrk everyday. it has got slight camber and the offset has changed. it looks reall tough so i dnt
wanna loose the wheels

Type 3s have different offsets to Beetles so some aftermarket wheels will rub, but you should be fine with 165s on 5.5" rims. If you can, try and
work out where it is actually rubbing, look for wear/rub marks inside the wheel wells. If it is rubbing on the inside you could try some kind of
spacer, if they're rubbing on the outside (more likely I think) then you may be able to roll the lips.

Sounds like you need to adjust the steering lock limit screw, limit the amount of turn before anything rubs on full lock. The adjustment goes out when
the tie rod ends get replaced but not quite set up properly.

Is this the one you want to bag? If so you'll want to tub it when you fit bags.
