POR 15 on steering wheel?
Has anyone tried using POR 15 to rejuvenate a black steering wheel? will it adhere to that kind of surface?

will stick but will need a top clear coat as it degrades in uv light.
Should be a great surface it sticks like shit to a blanket is tough as nails and goes on a treat. Lets see the results Mitchell

it will stick to just about anything that is not oily or wet...
I never ever thought about steering wheels...
Excellent idea...
but UV rays dulls the black paint...
I suppose a clear coat will keep it shiny... ??
clear coat works on every thing else.. lol

Por 15 make an excellent filler for steering wheel cracks. It's expensive, but (if you follow the directions) does a great job.
I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!

por15 loses colour badly in sunlight (is great underneath or out of direct sunlight)
i doubt a clear topcoat will stop the loss of colour.

POR make a top coat specifically to stop the degradation of POR 15 from UV . POR 15 does not actually loose colour to UV but goes mat .

Yes, Mitchell..
it stays black but goes very dull looking...
but I think it is discolored too...
I'll try some gloss paint on it and see...
if it stops raining that is...
its halfway up a 10 meter high tower.. lol
a steel plate holding an antenna rotator..
I know gloss paint over very faded paint comes up great..

just use something from por15's range to do the trick. They have a steering wheel restro kits anyways.

The resto kit does not include paint. A quality automotive paint should do the job, after being properly prepared.
I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!
