Sunroof for Superbug
As the original sunroofs for the bugs are rarer than chickens teeth, I was wondering if any one knows whether the sliding glass unit from a new beetle
would fit?
Any thoughts or experience?

I reckon your bug is better off without a hole in the head. If you must though, then I would be searching for companies who actually make sunroofs
specifically for the old Beetle. There must be some out there. You can try grafting other things in but they're unlikely to have the correct
curvature to match the top of the roof.

There are companies in the US that make ragtop replicas, but I want something more modern.
Hence my thought of the new beetle unit as they have a lot of curvature on the roof. I just wanted to know if anyone has looked at this before.

I would think the curves are different and wouldn't work. Look on Samba though as I see them advertising steel sunroofs for the supers from time to
time with all of the mechanisms to operate it and everything.
