US Spec Tail Lights - Why Are They All Red?


I have them on my bug and they give it a differnt look makes them look classy - i love it

But why are they all red, in the US why didnt they have Amber lights?

Just out of curiousity

You can tell because all there US $ notes are the same colour or is that color?:D
But I wonder why the paint there cars different colours?;)

No, the Yanks have never had amber rear blinkers... like the FE Holden.. the stop light blinks... only one bulb in the tail lamp... if You only have one stop lamp working, and keep hitting the brakes, the driver behind would think You were signaling to go around a corner... bit dangerous...

The old mustangs had 3 red stripes for brakes and little amber lights under the bumper dont know why the VW's US Specs have all red lights

but they look awesome anyhow :)

the little amber lights onder the bumper on Mustangs were shoved on for us Aussies, if you have a careful look at most approx 1960 on US cars you will see very neat jobs on the rear indicators, sometimes a new lense cut, sometimes something just added on

im not sure why either, i prefer euro spec lights,, but not all of us do, and give me a break about the wrong side of the road crap, im tryin' I am building a right hand drive.

Dude, I just painted my dyno! Brown Metallic, with ivory Flash on the front! 68 Spoked snow flake wheels, Down crown, Brick tread tyres! But I got too assemble it!
