Hey mate, just a few questions :)

1) Do you have all the glass and rubbers?
2) How were the body repairs made... new metal or bog?
3) Do you have the original wheels?
4) The paint, is it off white or white? Kind of hard to tell in some of the pics.
5) Can you please give us more details on the engine? Any gear box noise?
6) If you have any pics of the build up, are you able to shoot them my way?

Many thanks!

hi liam
all the glass is there and all new rubbers, the body repairs ( rust ) were minimal, the bottom of the front clip, metal was used .the wheels on it are the ones i have, i swapped the original rims 2 years ago for a carton of beer.
the paint is an antique white , original vw colour. the engine is from a type 3, the fella i purchased it from originally said it was recoed, it does have some new nuts and bolts in the case.when it arrived here i drove it around the block and it run fine appart from a bit of carbie splutter,
since then it has had brand new carbies from rod penrose, electronic dizzy, alternator fitted.
i never bothered with any build up pics , as it was on the ten year plan, its now been 4 years and the decision is now to sell

regards bob

Ah crap!

Oh well, you snooze you loose! It was good to chat to you the other day... now to make my brother feel guilty for not taking a day off work for a drive up to see you.

Nice work on the quick sale, hope the new owner enjoys the new car :)

The new owner has this bus @ my mechanic. Cant wait to drop in tomorrow to take a look when I hopefully pick up my Syncro. Gotta love the 71's - the best model kombi ever made in my opinion - a proper low-light with factory boosted front disc brakes and twin port 1600 - what a combination!

This one is even more special.
