Cheers guys.
Nowt wrong with the carb I have. It's all been cleaned and has not slack in the throttle spindle just has no auto choke.
Chequer57 - to check you connect a battery and hold the accelerator arm fully open so that the choke plate should be closed by the autochoke and then
as the bi-metal coil in the choke heats up from the voltage connected to it the choke plate will slowly open
let me know who wants to sell me one as I'm in need

Cheer I'll give that a go tomorrow and let you know. The carbie I have is in bits so it's no drama I'm a 28 PCI man personally ....
They are what you use on the older Formula Vees.

Hi,
I hooked it up last night, choke mechanism got hot but the choke butterfly stayed put. Sorry I could not be of help.

cheers for trying dude. BTW, did you check the plate moved freely before you tried? the Bi-metal strip aint that strong and getting warm is what it's
supposed to do

Yep nothing happened .... if you still want it I'll mail it to you with the bottom half of the carb too, you may be able to sort it out.

Hmm, just the choke element is needed really and will keep postage down if it is buggered
May aswell give it a go before spend $40 on a NOS one

The connector has busted lose from the ceramic and I've electrically tested and I get no ohms reading or continuity plus when powered up she do
