WTD: 68-74(?) Beetle Two Point Seat Bases/Rails. VIC

Hi,

I'd like to get hold of a pair of front seat bases or complete but thrashed stock seats to steal the base frame and rails from.

I'm going to be mounting non-standard seats in my Super (when I find ones I like) and I don't want to take the car off the road while I carve up the current seats to make the mounts.

I don't want to kill a nice set of stock seats that someone else could use. So, the mankier, the better. :)

Cheers,
Brett.

Hmm, Any idea what the freight would cost?

Would you be willing tio remove the backrests from the bases and toss the backrests away?

Just so that you know, '68-74 encompasses at least three different types of seat rail. In 1968 they had the 'single rail' type, then in about '71-ish for the S Bugs they had the two 'C-channel' rails like the type which you're looking for. After that I'm pretty sure the 3-point rails came in before '74. Just make sure you get the right ones!

Thanks, mine are two two point C-channel Superbug type. I thought they were all the same from 68 until late 74 or early 75 whne they went three-point. :)
