WTD: 68-74(?) Beetle Two Point Seat Bases/Rails. VIC
Hi,
I'd like to get hold of a pair of front seat bases or complete but thrashed stock seats to steal the base frame and rails from.
I'm going to be mounting non-standard seats in my Super (when I find ones I like) and I don't want to take the car off the road while I carve up the
current seats to make the mounts.
I don't want to kill a nice set of stock seats that someone else could use. So, the mankier, the better.
Cheers,
Brett.

Hmm, Any idea what the freight would cost?
Would you be willing tio remove the backrests from the bases and toss the backrests away?

Just so that you know, '68-74 encompasses at least three different types of seat rail. In 1968 they had the 'single rail' type, then in about
'71-ish for the S Bugs they had the two 'C-channel' rails like the type which you're looking for. After that I'm pretty sure the 3-point rails
came in before '74. Just make sure you get the right ones!

Thanks, mine are two two point C-channel Superbug type. I thought they were all the same from 68 until late 74 or early 75 whne they went
three-point.
