2012 Beetle
Probably not the first, found these pics of the 2012 Beetle.
I like her looks more like the original with a bit of 356 coupe
thrown in there!

Also found this site with some interesting articles including the last one
redoing the original Beetle!

I also read last night that there is plans for modification of the NB into a mid engine, 4cy turbo Porsche engined variant in three years if the sales
are good.
If I can find the article again I'll post it.
2011 is the hard top release and 2012 is the cabrolet release.

Looks tougher than the current model which is a good thing. But looking at that front view I see some pt cruiser in it which I find disturbing.

It's wider, longer and lower than the current model.

Although after seeing it from that point of view, the wheels look sh1t. too big for the car and makes it look fat.
Look like its been on a high carb diet.
So this is the new super bug?

I like them. Then again, I liked the original "new beetle" version as well.

Yes, very much history repeating alright.
I agree - less girly. My wife doesn't think it looks as good as the original. I disagree.
The fat look appeals to me. Bigger guards and lower stance.
