There are a lot of good ones out there!
Bentley is my first choice,
but I also buy Haynes and Scientific Publications,
since they do things differently and also use original VW photos and info most of the time.

I know some people dislike the muirs how to keep your vw alive book, but for someone who has little mechanical experience, it's a handy book to have, but it's advisable to also have at least one of the proper workshop manuals.

I like the Haynes one as it's kind of a cross between the muirs and the bentley manual. But if you can afford it, get the Bentley also.

Bentley is the most technical out of the three mentioned, but it's very precise but really well documented so it won't lead you astray.

I'd also recommend the pitstop bookshop. Good prices, great service.

Thats not rust, it's ah ... orange primer ... yep that's what it is ...
