My Beetle - 71 Super

I thought I'd post a couple of pics of my beetle. I read about this beetle in VW POWER in about 1993 I think! It was for sale through a friend of a friend so I bought it, drove it for a couple of years, stuck it in my garage (whilst other things took prioirity) now I've go the time & inspiration(mainly from looking around this site) to pick up the sanners & get stuck in!

I've already received great advice from people on this site, thanks!
Cheers
Troy

Engine is just a stock 1600 with a dress kit. I was thinking I should upgrade brakes & suspension before I go for a bigger motor. It's drives great with the existing motor, not a lot of power but I was driving 70ks a day so I didn't really want anything too thirsty. I'm investigating the Subaru power plant which seems to be a good option price wise, but alot of stuffing around with radiators etc..

Suspension, brakes and a refreshed look first, then I'll start thinking about a motor.
