What size is this hole, ASAP please.

Hi all,

I need to find out the original size of these holes that the fresh air heater tubes pass through. I need to cut my own and want to check what size hole saw I need to use/buy.

I need to cut them by morning so I can drop my tinware off to get powder coated.

Thanks, Kevin

That was quick, thank you. Need to go buy a 60mm hole saw now, one of the sizes I don't have.

Cheers, Kev.

You guys can laugh at my expense and expense it was. Worked out $22 a hole to drill :grind:

Anyway, it's done now and can drop them off at the powder coaters

I was really surprised at the mods required to the tinware to make them fit. Then again my engine is stroked and running 48 webbers.

Shit, the way I am going I might even have the engine in soon.

Kev

Hi Kev,
those holes need to be larger to put a bush or rubber grommet around the flimsy hoses...
the rubber VW grommets just sit on top of the tinware...??
the Hoses are a fairly tight fit...
maybe 68mm....
Sorry too late....

I have mine out at the moment....
I should maybe make them larger so I can push the rubber grommets into the holes....

cheers Kev
