just reading your other post about brake linings & you shouldnt need to undo this nut just to change brake lining on a T3 Caravelle. Brake drum should come off after the removal of a 10mm hex head bolt if i recall correctly. Hub will stay in place, unlike a beetle drum brake where you have to remove the axle nut.

the nuts that hold the wheels on????

all are normal RH threads....

Axle threads... probably the same...

Wrong nut


Yeah meant axle nut,hub is in the way to remove springs and adjuster. Nuts were very stubborn,never been off by the look of it.
