engine won't start


Had my 36hp motor running the other week went to start it 2days won't start, but it still has spark and fuel. is there anything else worth checking??

does it fire at all. Sputter and die or just no life at all?
If it definitly has spark then tip a bit of fresh fuel down the carbie. It will fire up then. If it dies soon after, say 30seconds or so, then its probably a fuel delivery problem.

If it still does not fire then its an ignition problem. Could be weak spark from a crook coil or bad condenser.
Best to check the points gap, and reset the timing and see what that does.
