Aussie VW suppliers - TAKE NOTE
Hi guys,
Just thought I would put this up in the hope that the Aussie VW suppliers will think hard about the way they communicate with their customers. I find
it increasingly frustrating when you e-mail a company about something directly from their site & they never bother the get back to you. Its even
more frustrating when you try 3-4 times & still nothing. I wont mention any names, but most of the ones I have tried obviously dont care about
missing out on business.
In this day & age, I would prefer to send a quick e-mail rather than waiting around on the phone. If they dont like communicating via e-mail, then
dont offer it on their site.
I would love to support our Aussie parts providers, but untill they get the act together, I will be buying my gear from overseas. 90% of these
companies are only too happy to reply & provide a great service.
I'm in the process of a full ground up resto at the moment & I can tell you now, most of my money has unfortunately gone overseas.
I'd be interested to hear if anyone is having a similar experience.

Sadly, even if you buy locally, that supplier has sent his money overseas already. A rule of thumb: If they don't put prices on their items, or a
checkout , then the website is not their primary way of communicating to their customers. If you have ever run a business in this field, then you may
not be aware that 99% of all enquiries are tyre kickers. The serious people turn up in person, but have already researched what they want and aware
what a fair price to pay. We don't live in America. They can do it because they have ten times the population as Australia.
Hope this helps.

What planet are these guys ordering their parts from,as a trade buyer i just ring my suppliers ask for the parts I require,If they don't have them in
stock they tell me and I try elsewhere. yes sometimes parts are hard to get gut that is life.If you are too lazy to actually speak to a person why
should you expect them to read emails, they do actually have other things to do other than sit in front of a computer saying "I think someone will
send me an email asking for parts" In the real world (motor trade) we do not have huge staff to do this sort of thing or if we do the prices go up
accordingly to cover the costs of providing these services.

If this is the case, then certain websites should get rid of their online checkout system. Why have it if all your parts have no price listed ($0.00)?
Maybe some of us are at work and can't ring until they get home after 5, which is too late because the business is closed. An email takes seconds to
read and seconds to reply. It's not that hard.
As willtrack said, if you don't want to reply, don't offer your email. Mick and the team always email me back straight away, and that's customer
service. If others don't want to service the online community, tear down your webpage and wait by the phone.

I am pretty certain the business whinged about here is a blokes hobby and not his main source of income , and if you dont buy off him he doesnt really
care unless you need some concrete pumped
the one thing he has got going for him is he is cheap and most of us are tight asses
