wtb or swap: type 1 front seat
My 66 beetle has mismatched front seats, and I want to buy her some new upholstery, so need to get the seats to match.
I have an early 56-64 passenger seat and a later 65-67 driver's seat (at least, according to the TMI website that's what I have). Anyone interested
in doing a trade so that I end up with a matching pair?
I don't really care which year I end up with. The early seat is brown, and the later seat is red with grey insert. Both are in pretty decent nick,
small tears if anything, although I don't recall any tears, but they're under seat covers and I'm too lazy to look. I'll look if you need me to
Happy to trade for a seat in structurally sound condition and since
I'm replacing the pads and upholstery, it can look like hell and I won't mind.
If nobody needs a trade, does anyone have one to sell? I'm in Brisbane.
Cheers,
Angela.

i'm assuming the seats aren't interchangeable, given that the lever is on the outside. or can you just swap that around somehow? suddenly feeling
dumb...

Hi Stidub,
Sounds like they'd fit then. My only reference point for seats and years is the TMI website and they only seem to show highbacks from 68 on. I'd
be happy to get a matching set of lowbacks, as long as they're standard enough that I can get covers to fit
Cheers,
Angela.

Would still really like to find an original of either of the types in Luftmeister's post above. Driver's side of the one on left of picture, or
passenger of one on the right. Any condition acceptable as I'll be recovering. Happy to courier from interstate.
Thanks
