1960 Double Door Panel
I have for sale my 1960 Double Door Panel.
I bought it from a bloke (nah too good a word for him) prick in Queensland after he had it advertised on an international auction site.
I will post the original ad which had gems like "very dry bus" and "ready to restore" and it got me in! You'll love it, better fiction than Jules
Verne.
Having taken him at his word (which is shit) as I am a novice ( I put my hand up and say it with guilt and pride) I paid many dollars and had it
transported to Sydney to begin it's journey of recreation.
As the truck pulled into my good friend's yard who happens to be one of the best restorers in the country he gave me the look of "been there done
that" and you have been HAD!
He got me. I got suckered. I paid the price.
The kids won't starve, I am still with my sweetheart and I am wiser for the transaction but I do believe in KARMA. He won't return my calls?
Please do not buy this Panel unless you have the vision or the passion or the pockets to do it justice.
Do not like me think for one moment you can buff out the rust, put a set of adjusters on it with an I.R.S. and some torquey motor and admire the
original patina and all will hail KING DD PANEL! Oh No.
This will be hard work. Lengthy work. Expensive Work.
Not for the faint of heart or shallow of pockets. This is HELL.
Would look good once done though!
I need it moved ASAP so if you can help in that way for a month it would be greatly appreciated. I might loan it to a TAFE so one of their classes may
practice on it, or you may buy it.
I will gladly pass on the gentleman's name and number who sold it to me so you can purchase other classics from him if you so desire as I wish him no
harm as I reckon he is not sleeping well. Poor pet. KARMA.

I would cancel that ebay listing and start it again with the words "Kombi" and "splitscreen" in the title. You are missing 90% of potential buyers
with this listing.

Have decided to take on the resto. After all it is the one I have been looking for sometime now.
it is correct year (I hope) for me and a double door which I had to have. Will be logo'ed when done and hopefully a daily driver.
I will post photos once resto underway and as always appreciate the comments (good or bad) in the community.
Watch this space.
