NSW RTA

Hi all,

Can anyone help in finding out what a VW Beetle conversion report is thats on the registration papers - Modified as per report number 47023. I called the RTA number of times to speak to different people, to see I get the same answer. I did. They dont know, cant tell me, cant give me a copy and now say they cant and wont give me a copy. So I called into a QLD main Roads department and asked them to call RTA and ask for a copy as the vehicle is to be changed to QLD rego. They refused the QLD main roads a copy as well.

the rta doesnt store engineering repots, the only place that will have a copy will be the engineer that originally issued it.

Hi

The original owner should have one, its a condition of the report that it's carried in the car. I guess you have already tried the owner who initiated the report.

Thanks for the replys...

I have tried everything to get a copy or any info on who the engineer was, all drawn a blank. I even tracked down the Origional owners that purchased it from Softop Conversions at The Beetle Centre Croydon NSW. The lady said she had bought it from them new (so she thought as it had zero klm on the clock). They had it for many many years with kids and grandkids all enjoying it. She then later gave it to the owners that I purchased it from and neither have, recall or can find any report.

So I will have to submit an application to QLD Main Roads to get it re-engineered.
