WANTED - 68 BEETLE FUEL FILLER HOSE -

Hi
My fuel filler hose has split under a hose clamp and I just filled the tank so its lots of petrol fumes inside....

the hose on the filler end is round and the tank end is oval and the hose is very stiff so a round one wouldn't fit...
it was very difficult to fit when I put the tank in...

it may be a 1968 only hose not sure....

I've only seen round hoses for sale...

If you find a good supplier can you let me/all of us know.

hoping its the same....

if it is I'll take it....

but I can remember seeing round hoses on later models....

Maybe it will be a tank and hose change..?????

PS:" YIKES... I would have to have a full tank too....

there must be a hose out there somewhere with one end larger than the other.... lol

Hi Lee

Does the hose change diameter when it goes from round to oval? If it doesn't you could just use a normal hose.

If it does change maybe get some silicon hose the correct size and alter the steel part of the filler neck to accommodate the silicone hose.,
