Then end of the BEETLE and end to an icon......
Well today is the day.........the beetle factory in South America (Mexico or Brazil..I forget) has rolled the last Beetle of it's production
line.
What does this mean to you? (Post your thoughts here!)
A sad day indeed.......over 70 years in production. |

Anyone got any decent photos of the last one? We can then have our own little museum piece.

I didn't think it would, but it made me bloody sad to lose something that was based on simplicity, and that worked so well. I recently sold my
modern car with ECU, blah blah blah... to buy my beetle. Couldn't fix the old one. Couldn't even work out what was wrong with the old one.
It seems as though all new cars now are doomed to being made for a short life so they can be replaced by new models, including new VWS (even though
they are still well built cars). Anyway, thats my whinge for the day.
