Cheap shipping from USA to Brisbane - May

Hi Guys,

As you may of may not be aware a few mates and I have now opened Meyers Manx Australia ( http://www.meyersmanx.com.au ) and our new online store will open early next month. As part of this we will be bringing in several shipping containers to move the moulds for the Manxter Buggies and some pre-release bodies for our distributors.

Anyway due to the nature of the freight, ie big and very lite we have the ability to offer people the opportunity to get a very good deal on some freight space from LA to Brisbane.

If you are looking at getting parts etc this is a great opportunity for you to get it into Brisbane cheap and easy. We will have a truck running around the LA area for a few days and may also be able to help out with local pickup etc.

If you are buying stuff which is USA made and the supplier is happy to sign off on it then you will only be charged GST under the free trade agreement (as a guide some items may vary).

So you may ask why we don't just fill the container ouselves and re-sale at stupid prices like some loacal shops .... well I won't lie about it, we can't afford to. With the $$$ we have tied up in the moulds etc it would not be smart to outlay another $100k on parts outside of our primary business.

Anyway take it as you may we are offering an honest opportunity to get stuff in with minimal fuss and cost. I know from experience how mush of a PITA it is to get some items shipped so now is your chance.

Contact via email sales@meyersmanx.com.au

Cheers,

Brad

Hi Brad,
I am looking at bringing in some steel rear trailing arms from a 944 back from the states. When do you expect the containers to leave?

I used to send money to a friends paypal account in the USA and He would order and receive them and post to me later in one parcel.. [ still wasvery expensive freight from the USA...]

Yes
on paypal but Many websites say that they will ONLY Ship to the original address

and any PayPal address is usually OK with ebay buys...

I believe its a normal security thing in the USA..
with shops and mail orders..

but now thinking that maybe CIP1 was an exception??
or maybe they have changed the rules in large VW shops..

Some of the VW shops are very small and don't want the worry
of having problems...

I also found over the years, many small shops in the USA ,
[one that sold accelerator and clutch cables that never break]

didn't want to sell outside the 48 mainland states ..
wouldn't even ship to Hawaii or Alaska... lol
and naturally Australia....
