Subaru engine with Duel Cannon exhaust

Hi guys,

In all the threads I have seen, none have a subaru engine with Duel Cannons exhaust. Why is this ? Does it not work or sound the same ? Is the engine too wide ? Im interested to hear opinions

I've seen a couple done, main reason is from a performance point of view duel cannons suck for exact same reason they do on VW engines over the 4into1 header

Sound isnt the same either, but it depends what you like.

Space is the other reason, all the duelie setups ive seen have been on buggies and bajas.

Bit hard to make a neat duel setup in a bug/kombi without losing ground clearance.

Also in an ideal world the computer wants an o2 reading from all 4 where they merge, not possible with duels.

a reading from one side works but not an ideal solution.

The main problem with cannons on a VW engine is the 1-4-3-2 timing. This means two consecutive pulses into each cannon. Hence the cannon sound. The Subaru firing order may be different and duals may work better.
