Well the engine is now done (huge thanks to Dave Richardson for putting in a massive effort this week) and Also Dave Butler for all the advice and machine work. The car is now up with Matt Berry for some wiring! We were so close to getting the engine in! unfortunately we need to make a few adjustments before she'll slot in. oh well.... here is a few photos from our road trip.

The car is now at daves place where it will be fired up soon! Matt berry did an incredible job on the wiring! it's really neat, i'll grab some pics of it this morning. We managed to cram the engine in yesterday arvo. A bit more cutting and modifying but she fits and looks the part! Still need to drop the back down a couple of inches.

Oh geez mate, had a bit of a major drama today due to a dodgy gland nut. Have not fired up yet but on the plus side your wiring works! it made us feel a little better after todays proceedings.... Will update more on the situation when I know whats going on.

Well after a big weekend, she runs. A few little issues to sort out but she runs..... But not without it's complications

Saturday night, ready to put the engine in for the final time... All thats left to do is tighten the flywheel gland nut and fit the clutch. Gland nut just starts getting tight then starts getting looser and looser until it wont go in or come out... oh boy. we managed to lever the flywheel in order to get it off only to find this, a stripped gland nut and the thread in the crank not looking all that flash either. Dave and i both felt sick with the thought of what this might mean... A phone call and a trip to see Dave butler on sunday morning had us smiling again as he managed to clean up/re-tap the crankshaft thread and fit a replacement gland nut. what a relief.

I have a video of the start up but it will have to wait till thursday as my computer is playing up and i can't upload it till then.

This was a chromoly racing gland nut.
