From the mouth of babes
So I was walking through the house over the weekend and found my 9 year old daughter going through some of my VW mags. I didn't want to interupt,
(never interupt important education I say), so kept going.
Later that night over dinner she asked me why most of the dubs in the mags she was reading had Fire Extinguishers in them. So after I tried to explain
about rubber tubes, petrol, fumes, electrical wires, very hot environments and alike she became very worried that our dub would burst into flames. I
told her that that very rarely happens and not to worry.
Then the finance minister piped up and asked if there was any sure fire (no pun intended) way to ensure that this wouldn't happen to our pride and
joy. So I told her all about very expensive braided pipes etc. to which she announced that I should go and do it - for the childrens peace of mind.
A win win situation if I've ever heard one! Stoked.
Moral to the story: When you think you can't get stuff for your dub because of a non-allowed expenditure, find cunning ways to involve your
children.
