NSW buying a car from ACT

I'm going off to look at a used car in ACT. Whi has done this before adn how does it work.

The car doesnt have rego at the moment. They are going to put 3 months on it and take $300 off because I am a NSW resident. Until that point I hadnt even considered ther transfer costs.

What is the procedure? Will I be liable for ACT stamp duty? NSW stamp duty? Both?
