Lights Out

Not sure what's going on here.

I've got a '76 Superbug American import.....

Right rear tail light is out, plate light, as are the two front running lights [parking lights built into indicators]. The indicators themselves are working ok, as are the rear brake lights.

I checked the fuses before it got too dark without finding anything wrong, but haven't check the bulbs yet.

I'm not sure if this is wired differently, but surely a blown bulb wouldn't take out other lights? This doesn't sound right, and never had it like this in the past.

All four lights [front running lights, plate light and right rear tail light], all went out at the same time. I'll check the simple things[bulbs] tomorrow......any other ideas anyone?

Squiz

I have emailed you the wiring diagrams and fuse box for your car

You have a fuse out or "unlikely" a break

Need to check carefully sometimes they fracture not burn and you cant tell until you pull it and it falls to pieces.

Thanks Barry. I've swapped a few bulbs around and the problem stays with the side. I'm about to get one of the VW head sparkies from work to check it out - hopefully he'll pop a voltmeter on.
