Wheels and tyres for KG
I am in the process of fitting a narrowed beam and drop spindles to my 1960 kg, next will be wheels and tyres.
I like the empi gt-5 rims but am led to believe that the offset is more suited to a beetle.
Before I order them i'm am interested to see what rims anyone else is running on their kg and what size tyres you have gotten away with on the rear
and are there any non standard wheels more suited to a kg.

it also depends on what width rear bearing housings you have as well as they locate the wheel inside the wheel arch. Early swingaxles had the
'short' bearing housing, approximately 1967 to 1969 (the latest 12 volt swingaxles had the longest bearing housings, and I believe that some
overseas markets had an in between length.
We might have that in between length on our 1967 KG as it came from South Africa and its a typical 1967 crossover year brumby / bitsa. Ball joint
disc brake front, 6 volt, 2 speed wipers, 1967 KG only interior mirror, .
