SOLD Wrecked 1976 Beetle

Long story short, I ran up the back of someone and now I can't afford to fix her (well, I don't think it'll be economically viable) so I'm offering her up for cheap for someone who wants to raid it for parts, or restore it.

I don't really want to part it out at the moment, I'd rather someone came and picked up the whole thing and they can do what they want with it. It's a tough to see my beloved bug sitting wrecked so I would love it gone asap.

Everything you see is included(except for the Club VW badge!). The front is wrecked, however the motor and gearbox still work (I haven't turned the car back on, however it still shift into every gear and the motor still turns by hand.

Body

- 1976 VW Beetle
- Doors, windows, rear guards, rear lights (smoked), rear decklid and rear bumper are all in great condition.
- Front what I can see, the pans are still in good nick - no rust that I can see (the whole car has been constantly fish-oiled)

Interior (nothing damaged)

- Procar Racing Seats
- Stock 1976 dash in good condition (one or two small cracks above odometer). It has not been cut into.
- Rear seats in good condition.
- White Headliner
- Full Grey Carpet
- Early edition Momo steering wheel and boss kit.

Engine and Transmission (Turnkey Set-up)

- 1600cc TP
- Fully Balanced Crank
- Cima Pistons
- Larger Single Carburetor (unsure of what size, sorry!)
- Lightened Flywheel

As a side note, this was a fantastic engine. Totally reliable and started first time every-time. I'm really going to miss it.

- Standard VW Gearbox

Shifts perfectly and I can assume it has plenty of clutch left as it's never slipped or given me grief.

Brakes

- Front Discs and Rear Drums. (Assume to still be working, but obviously can't test!)
- Bilstein Shocks

The front beam has been bent slighty, however the rear transaxle set up is picture perfect!

In all, it was a fantastic example of a later model beetle. Got me from A to B every single day. It would be perfect for someone who needed extra parts or wanted to do a complete swap into any beetle.

Price: $1850 ONO

Location: Lane Cove (2066)

Seller: Ollie

Contact Method:

- Mobile: 0402 147 320 (text or call)
- PM on AVD

Many thanks, Pictures to come!

Oh no :sniffle: You are not having much luck, sorry to see and good luck with the sale.

Maybe buy another body if the frame head etc is ok and just swap it all. I'm sure there would be people nearby to help you out.

Kev

I thought rebuilding a VW would be cheap - Shit I was wrong, just don't let the wife know !!!!

Thanks Kev!

Yup, no luck at all :( I want to get another bug but I've just started a new job and don't have the time to invest more money at the moment.

However in the great words of Arnold, "Ill be back"
