Amazing! If I ever went fishing, that's the way I'd want to do it.:tu:

I have done something similar with mullet. My dad and his uncle taught me - they would quietly row up a mangrove creek at high tide at night with a kerosene lantern in the middle of the boat with a damp sugar bag over it. They would glide into a bay where they could hear mullet jumping, then as they got in there, they would uncover the lamp, shake the oars in the rowlocks, and stamping on the floorboards. The mullet would jump everywhere, often heading for the light. You often got a couple each time.

I have done similar in an open canoe with a gas light - just protect the light from spraying water and flying mullet.
